MSC APPROVAL CUTOFF DATE

Greetings from eXpats Service Centre!

In reference to the earlier announcement (REF: CCFS–MFS–ANNC–MDEC–062 D20171019), the following matters are required for your next course of action:

1) Approval Stage (Stage 1)

  • The last day of ALL submissions for approval stage (Stage 1) via current eXpats system is on 10th November 2017 (Friday) before 12.00 midnight in order to obtain a decision before 15th November 2017 (Wednesday). Any INCOMPLETE applications received on 10th November 2017 (Friday) will be automatically cancelled.
  • With immediate effect, ALL approval letters issued via current eXpats system will only be valid until 29th December 2017(Friday).
  • For ALL KIV applications via current eXpats system, please revert to your respective Client Manager latest by 10th November 2017 (Friday) before 12.00 midnight in order to obtain a decision before 15th November 2017 (Wednesday).Otherwise, the application will be automatically cancelled.
  • Should you still wish to proceed with the application, please reapply via new eXpats system from 15th November 2017 (Wednesday) onwards and the new ruling will be applied.

2) Endorsement Stage (Stage 2)

  • For applications approved before 15th November 2017 (Wednesday), the last day of ALL submissions for endorsement stage (Stage 2) via current eXpats system is on 29th December 2017 (Friday). The process and fees remain unchanged. Otherwise, the application will be automatically cancelled.
  • For ALL KIV applications via current eXpats system, please revert to your respective Client Manager before 29th December 2017 (Friday). Otherwise, the application will be automatically cancelled.
  • Should you still wish to proceed with the application, please reapply via new eXpats system from 1st January 2018 onwards and the new ruling will be applied.

3) eXpats System Availability

For the enhancement of the eXpats system, MDEC will be performing data migration activity. Due to the nature of the activity, eXpats system will not be accessible on 10th November 2017 (Friday) after 12.00 midnight until 15th November 2017.
