Greetings from eXpats Service Centre!
In line with the announcement made by the YAB Prime Minister on 16th March 2020, MDEC continuously and proactively taking precautionary and pragmatic measures to minimize the risk of COVID-19 infection. As such, MDEC will implement a Work from Home (WFM) effective from 18th until 31st March 2020 and companies are required to observe the followings:
1)Closure of MDEC
MDEC of eXpats Service Centre will be closed effective from 18th March 2020 until 31st March 2020. All communications will be limited via email and chatbot/live chat only.
However, please note that the Immigration Unit (Expatriate Services) of MDEC, Cyberjaya will continue to operate as normal business hours with minimal support.
2)Online application for Approval Stage
We will continue to process the online application (Approval Stage) EXCEPT for the new application where the applicant is currently outside Malaysia.
Due to the current condition, please expect some delay on the processing of the approval.
Please be reminded that companies MUST ensure that their applicants have a valid pass during the implementation of “Movement Control Order” by the Government of Malaysia.
