We are pleased to inform that Immigration Department of Malaysia has announced/ released a new guideline for the entry of Foreign Knowledge Worker(FKW) for Key Posts and Technical Posts, and for dependents / foreign maids during Recovery Movement Control Order (RMCO).

The new guidelines are applicable for the followings:

• Foreign Knowledge Worker/Dependents including foreign maids with an active pass, who is currently stranded abroad.
• New Foreign Knowledge Worker/Dependents including foreign maids who is currently abroad.

Immigration Department of Malaysia will issue Entry Approval Letter for this purpose. To obtain the approval, company needs to obtain Support Letter from MDEC before submitting the application for entry permission to Immigration Department of Malaysia. Submission of application must be sent to [email protected] in order to obtain the decision of the Director General of Immigration Department Malaysia (DGIM).

Please note that request for support letter will be processed within 3 working days upon MDEC receiving complete information. Company may email to [email protected] with information as stated in the Guideline.

For the above, we encourage company to plan for the submission of entry permission. Please provide justification and ensure that the submission is only for urgent requirement.
