EMPLOYMENT PASS RE-CLASSIFICATION (CATEGORY I, II AND III)

Dear valued clients,
Please be informed that the Ministry of Home Affairs has re-classified the Employment Pass (Category I, II and III) and will be implemented effective 1st September 2017. Following are the categories:
| Employment Pass Categories | Salary | Duration of employment |
| I | More than or equal to RM10,000 | Up to 5 years |
| II | RM5,000 to RM9,999 | Up to 2 years |
| III | From RM3,000 to RM4,999 | Less than OR equal to 1 year (Maximum of 2 renewal) |
As such, please ensure the submission of Employment Pass to MDEC is following the above.
Please take note that final decision on duration of Employment Pass is at the discretion of MDEC upon reviewing the application.
