Driving Sustainable Development in Malaysia

The Economic Planning Unit (EPU) of The Prime Minister's Department is the focal point for sustainable development and acts as a coordinating agency for related initiatives, including the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The EPU chairs The National Steering Committee, which formulated the SDG Roadmap and monitors progress against targets, identifies issues and reports to the National SDG Council, chaired by the Prime Minister.
The EPU has published two SDG Voluntary National Reviews, in 2017 and 2021, and remains committed to reporting progress every four years.
