What is Hour of Code?
Hour of Code (HoC), powered by Code.org is a non-profit organisation, with the objective to introduce coding and computer science to students through fun learning to show that anybody can learn the basics. MDEC has run the HOC campaign since 2017.
Achievements
Recorded a 2,500% growth, highest rate in the total number of events in more than 150 countries
Malaysia being invited to be part of Code.org’s International Professional Development Partner Program
In 2017, a total of 745 schools and 83,326 students participated and was awarded the “Aktiviti Coding Terbanyak” by the Malaysia Book of Records
