Overview:
Explore how our VR/AR virtual tour solution enhanced engagement across diverse industries. We addressed challenges such as limited physical accessibility, high marketing costs, and a lack of interactive experiences. Successfully deployed in the tourism, timber, investment, events, exhibitions, education, and property sectors, we empower businesses to streamline operations, enhance visibility, and connect more effectively with their audiences.
Among them are:
- Timber Industry: Developed Malaysia’s first virtual timber mall for the Malaysian Timber Council (MTC), featuring 51 companies, 51 showrooms, and 30 factories on timbereality.my. In this virtual mall, an AI avatar provides an explanation in three languages, while AR technology displays 3D furniture models.
- Investment Industry: Developed a virtual tour for InvestKL to remotely showcase Greater KL’s attractions and connectivity. It covers 4 business hubs with 12 destinations, while highlighting 2 multinational corporations (with more to come) to global investors.
- Event & Exhibition Industry: Developed a virtual gallery with 10 exhibition spaces for Yayasan TM to enhance global exposure for over 100 local artists.
- Tourism Industry: Developed the largest collection of virtual guidebooks for destinations in Malaysia, 1,307 360-degree images, and 47 360-degree videos. Since 2023, we have partnered with Tourism Malaysia to globally promote domestic tourism. Similar virtual tour solutions are now being applied to medical and event tourism, encompassing 66 hotels, event spaces, and medical centers.
- As part of the Think City-supported Digital Anastylosis initiative, four photogrammetry models were created for Candi Bukit Batu Pahat, Candi Pengkalan Bujang, Candi Kampung Pengkalan Bujang, and Candi Bendang Dalem.
Pain Points:
- Limitation of Physical Visits: Showcasing properties, tourist attractions, or events traditionally requires physical presence. This can be costly, time-consuming, and affected by weather, timing, and geographical limitations.
- High Offline Marketing Costs: Physical brochures, model displays, and promotional materials are often expensive and unsustainable.
- Need for Digital Experiences That Align with Evolving Customer Preferences: Conventional marketing tools struggle to engage a new generation of digital-savvy consumers effectively.
- Need for Improved Global Outreach: Traditional marketing efforts face limitations in reaching potential customers on a wider scale due to geographical and logistical constraints.
- Data Collection and Analysis Limitations: Lack of sophisticated tools for tracking user engagement and behaviour in traditional marketing leads to missed opportunities for data-driven decisions.

Implementation:
- Implementing virtual tours involves coding with a robust VR and AR platform, which is then integrated with our custom in-house solutions for scalability and extendability.
- Before deployment, customization is required to tailor the virtual tour interface to match the client's branding and website design. This includes configuring interactive elements such as hotspots, navigation menus, and multimedia features to enhance user experience and ensure responsiveness across devices.
- The virtual tour is embedded into the client's website using iframe codes or custom HTML widgets. We conduct thorough testing to ensure compatibility and performance, providing a smooth and seamless experience across all devices.
- We utilize AI to convert data into actionable insights, helping businesses understand what works and what doesn’t, enabling strategic planning.
- Additionally, we offer a 24/7 online knowledge base to assist clients in leveraging virtual tours for their business, enabling them to enhance staff training and receive prompt support.
Benefit:
- Malaysia’s first Virtual Timber Mall on timbereality.my has attracted 45,000 visitors from over 100 countries. Timber businesses view this platform as an extension of their websites or e-commerce sites, providing an enhanced buyer experience with minimal risk.
- A virtual tour for InvestKL remotely showcases Greater KL’s attractions and connectivity. This immersive and cost-effective experience enhances investor engagement, reduces the need for physical visits, and supports InvestKL’s competitiveness in attracting high-value foreign direct investment through digital transformation.
- The virtual gallery with 10 exhibition spaces for Yayasan TM connects artists with art collectors, drawing an average of 30,000 online visitors per event and providing valuable insights through analytics.
- Virtual tours developed to replace traditional brochures for Selama and Lenggong District Councils resulted in a 90% increase in marketing efficiency, with Selama recording around 90k visitors in 2024, a 10-15% increase from the previous year (January-June).
- Contributed to the archaeotourism development in Lembah Bujang by focusing on participative historical reconstruction and cultural dissemination. The site scans delivered faster, more accurate, and more detailed results than traditional hand drafting, documenting every deformation, surface texture, and landscape measurement with high precision. These models are accessible through immersive virtual tours, offering a modern approach to preserving culture and heritage.
