Fulfilment Centres typically manage the inbound and deliveries of orders. In keeping up with the speed and accuracy demands of their e-Commerce customers, digitisation was essential for Genuine Inside, a leading outsourced fulfilment and warehousing services provider to elevate their business operations. Polaris implemented an Order Management and Analytics platform that seamlessly integrates with existing back-office solutions. We utilise the latest tools that enable Big Data analytics and is powered by Machine Learning (ML) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) algorithms that allow us to scale to the next phase of development. Our solutions addressed the lack of automation in certain process flows to increase overall efficiency, accuracy and order processing capability. Ultimately, our digital transformation initiatives provided Genuine Inside with greater data visibility that they use as a value-added proposition to their customers.


Pain Points:

  • e-Commerce sellers typically rely on the speed and accuracy of order fulfilment to remain competitive. If transactions are made over a marketplace (such as Shopee and Lazada), strict service level agreements are enforced. Failure to meet the expectations in delivering orders on time would result in lower seller ratings and in certain scenarios penalties.  
  • In addition to that, it has become increasingly important to have better visibility of data across the operations of e-Commerce sellers. Data is typically scattered across different platforms: marketplace, e-Commerce websites and accounting systems just to name a few.

  2. Key components were deployed over the cloud using the Azure and AWS platforms. These platforms also allow us to harness the capabilities of Machine Learning (ML) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) which will be used for the next stage of data analytics.   

Benefit:

  1. In general, overall efficiency in warehousing operations were observed. Order fulfilment capacity was greatly increased over the last 2 years in tandem with internal targets of fulfilling more than 15,000 orders daily. This has also enabled Genuine Inside to make plans for further expansion into additional facilities in the near future.
