Shop Malaysia Online Campaign
Shop Malaysia Online campaign features sale campaign(s) to encourage online consumption. It is initiated by the Government under Belanjawan 2021 with support of industry partners (e-commerce & e-payment service providers). Under this campaign, discount vouchers will be issued to consumers to be redeemed against their online purchases on participating e-commerce & e-payment platforms






*Note: Under this campaign, discount vouchers which are co-funded by both the Government and e-commerce partners will be issued to consumers to be redeemed against online purchases on participating e-marketplaces. The digital vouchers can be applied against purchases and shipping fees.

It is an initiative by the Government under Belanjawan 2021 to encourage adoption of e-commerce and e-payment by local businesses. The main focus is to help local businesess widen their market reach via e-commerce.
The key beneficiaries will be local businesses with and without business registrations as they will receive e-commerce & e-payment onboarding training, seller subsidy and sales support. Other local e-commerce & e-payment players in the ecosystem such as digital marketing and delivery are also benefitting from the spillover effect.
MDEC is actively engaging with industry partners (e-commerce & e-payment service providers) to roll-out and execute the Go-eCommerce Onboarding campaign.
The participating industry partners are collectively contributing to the implementation of this campaign. The partners will support local businesses with e-commerce & e-payment on-boarding training, seller subsidy and sales support.
The Micro and SMEs E-commerce Campaign was first introduced under National Economic Recovery Plan (PENJANA) and now being expanded as Go-eCommerce Onboarding Campaign under the Belanjawan 2021 to nurture and facilitate more local businesses to adopt e-commerce and e-payment as the new way of doing business and expand their market reach.
Short-term: To accelerate local businesses to adopt e-commerce as a new way of doing business to weather the impact of COVID-19 pandemic.
Long-term: To enable local businesses to grow and sustain their business by expanding their market reach in domestic and global markets.

The Shop Malaysia Online Campaign is intended to benefit consumers and Malaysian sellers
MDEC’s role is to execute the Shop Malaysia Online Campaign with industry partners (e-commerce & e-payment service providers) and ensure the success of the online sales campaign.
The role of the e-commerce partners is to work with participating Malaysian sellers to drive and engage consumers to purchase through co-funding digital vouchers with the Government.
Under this campaign, discount vouchers will be issued to consumers to be redeemed against their online purchases on participating e-commerce & e-payment platforms. The digital vouchers can be applied against purchases and shipping fees. Each participating industry partner will have their own specific sales campaigns to drive consumers under Shop Malaysia Online Campaign.
