MDEC Certification of ISO 37001:2016 Anti-Bribery Management System (ABMS)
Dear Valued Clients,
Greetings from the Expats Service Centre!
As part of our ongoing efforts to ensure smooth processing of expatriate related applications, we would like to remind all companies to review and take the necessary actions regarding the following matters:
1. Exit Clearance via the eXpats System
As previously announced on 19 November 2025 companies are responsible to ensure that the exit status of their expatriates is accurately updated in the eXpats System.
This requirement applies to expatriates who:
Companies are advised to review and update the relevant records through the Exit Clearance module in the eXpats System. Please be reminded that failure to update the Exit Clearance status may affect the company's ability to submit and process future applications through the eXpats System.
2. Collection and Delivery of i-KAD
Companies with uncollected i-KADs at the Expats Service Centre are advised to arrange for collection at the earliest opportunity.
Please be informed that effective 15 October 2026, i-KADs will no longer be available for collection at the Expats Service Centre counter. This is in line with the implementation of a new i-KAD delivery method.
Under the new arrangement:
Further details on the new delivery process will be communicated separately.
3. Cancellation of Pass
We have observed that there are numbers of cancellation application requests have been submitted through the eXpats System, however the original passports required to complete the cancellation process have yet to be submitted.
As such, kindly arrange for submission of the original passport as soon as possible to facilitate the completion of the cancellation process. Failure to do so may result in delays or the inability to complete related immigration transactions and future applications.
Your cooperation in ensuring compliance with the above requirements is greatly appreciated and will contribute towards the efficient processing of expatriate-related services.
For further information or assistance, please contact us at 03-8315 3106 / 3157 or via email at expatctr@mdec.com.my.
Thank you for your kind attention and cooperation.
Yours sincerely,
