MDEC Certification of ISO 37001:2016 Anti-Bribery Management System (ABMS)
Dear Valued Clients,
Greetings from the Expats Service Centre!
Following the Government of Malaysia's announcement on the enhancement of the DE Rantau Nomad Pass during Budget 2027, MDEC will implement the Enhanced DE Rantau Nomad Pass Framework effective 1 December 2026.
The enhanced framework introduces a structured renewal pathway, allowing eligible DE Rantau Nomad Pass holders to extend their stay in Malaysia for up to four (4) years, inclusive of the initial pass validity period and approved renewals, subject to continued eligibility and approval by the relevant authorities.
As part of the transition to the enhanced framework, the submission window for new DE Rantau Nomad Pass applications will be temporarily closed from 1 November to 30 November 2026. New applications will resume on 1 December 2026 under the enhanced framework. During this transition period, renewal applications for eligible first-time renewals will continue to be accepted and processed.
For further details on the enhanced framework, eligibility requirements, renewal criteria and transition arrangements, please refer to the attached Enhanced DE Rantau Nomad Pass Framework FAQ or access it via the following link.
