Datuk Harjit Singh Sidhu has been appointed as a Board Member of the Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC), effective 16 January 2025. With over 30 years of distinguished expertise in taxation, Datuk Harjit is a recognised authority in corporate advisory, tax compliance, audits, and investigations.

Currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer of HSS Advisory Sdn Bhd, Datuk Harjit specialises in cross-border tax planning, GST, and SST, guiding businesses through the complexities of Malaysia's tax frameworks. His strategic insights have enabled countless organisations to adapt to evolving tax regulations and thrive in the digital economy.

From 2004 to 2018, Datuk Harjit played a pivotal role as an adviser and tax agent at MDEC, contributing to its mission of fostering Malaysia's digital growth. As a council member of the Chartered Tax Institute of Malaysia (CTIM) from 2014 to 2018, he further cemented his reputation as a key figure in shaping the nation’s tax governance and compliance standards. Datuk Harjit is currently a fellow member of CTIM.

An accomplished speaker and moderator, Datuk Harjit is frequently invited to lead discussions and share his expertise at tax seminars. His ability to demystify complex tax issues has been invaluable in helping corporations and agencies navigate challenges in today’s dynamic economic environment. Datuk Harjit holds a Bachelor of Economics and Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Cardiff Metropolitan University, Wales, and is a licensed tax agent under Malaysia’s Ministry of Finance. Honoured with the Darjah Kebesaran Negeri Melaka Award in 2011, he proudly carries the title of Datuk, reflecting his exceptional contributions to the nation.
