The Board of Directors is further supported by our MDEC Executive Committee (EXCO), led by Ts. Mahadhir Aziz . They bring a wealth of industry experience and knowledge in their respective fields, and are collectively responsible for implementing and delivering our strategic industry development and digital transformation objectives.
Ts. Mahadhir Aziz
Chief Executive Officer
A recognised industry leader, Ts. Mahadhir has a proven track record of over 20 years in various industries including Financial Services, Energy (Oil and Gas), Information Technology and Media, serving established global and local organisations such as Deloitte Consulting, Kodak, PETRONAS and AmInvestment Bank.
He was previously the co-founder and CEO of Futurise since its establishment in 2017, an agency under the Ministry of Finance mandated to drive the National Regulatory Sandbox (NRS) and a wholly owned subsidiary of Cyberview. In March 2020, Ts. Mahadhir was also handpicked to be part of the founding team at the National Economic Implementation and Strategic Coordination Agency (LAKSANA) under the Ministry of Finance.
Appointed the General Manager at Cyberview in 2015, he was instrumental in formulating the development of the Cyberjaya Global Technology Hub Blueprint and its implementation. Amongst the notable digital and tech transformation projects in which he successfully launched was the establishment of the City Innovation Council to manage Smart City implementation including the Cashless Cyberjaya programme.
Ts. Mahadhir has also served on various committees such as the United Nations Technology Innovation Labs Advisory Panel and the Malaysian Industry4WRD Regulatory Panel at the Ministry of International Trade & Industry (MITI).
Raymond Siva

He is a sought-after Strategist for International brands, local conglomerates and CEOs.
Ray has more than 23 years of experience in strategic communications, investor strategy and promotion, crisis and issues response. He is a sought-after Strategist for International brands, local conglomerates and CEOs. Ray has conducted over 100 spokesperson and crisis trainings, investor and corporate messaging workshops and talks in Malaysia, Indonesia and Singapore. Ray is fluent in English, Bahasa Malaysia and Bahasa Indonesia.
Ray assumed leadership of Edelman Malaysia in 2010, growing it to be the largest Communications consultancy firm in Malaysia with over 60 consultants, leading the financial communications and stakeholder engagement strategy for various multinational and government-linked companies. Ray moved to lead the Edelman Indonesia team at the tail end of 2015, leading over 100 consultants in the Jakarta office. Prior to joining the Edelman network in 2010, Raymond was General Manager at Grey PR, a multinational firm for over three years, growing the team to build competencies across corporate, consumer, technology and sports marketing public relations.
Datuk Fadzli Abdul Wahit
Head of Digital Industry Development
Datuk Fadzli Abdul Wahit is currently the Head of Digital Industry Development of MDEC. Prior to joining MDEC, Datuk Fadzli was the Partner/Executive Director for the Management Consulting Practice of KPMG Business Advisory (Head of Government Sector), KPMG Malaysia.
Datuk Fadzli Abdul Wahit has over 30 years experience in advising government and semi-government in Malaysia as well as abroad, and his main areas of specialisation are in Corporate Transformation and Restructuring, Policy Development, Economic and Feasibility Study, Strategy Planning & Advisory. His breadth of expertise has helped various stakeholders and partnership between government sectors and large corporations. He has also led several successful projects relating to Information Technology, Organisational Culture, Project Management, Strategy and Business Process, and Human Resources.",
Ir. Wan Murdani Wan Mohamad
Head of Digital Enablers
Wan Murdani has accumulated more than 25 years of professional experience in corporate and economic development environment, where he started his career at Renong-UEM Group and spent most of his stint in the Group with Time dotCom Berhad, one of the Malaysia’s first digital fibre optic telecommunication network and services providers. His primary roles at Time dotCom included network engineering, business development, international partnership, and project management, where he was also involved in a number of national strategic projects, among others, Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA), Projek Usahasama Transit Ringan Automatik (PUTRA LRT) and Malaysia-Singapore Second Link (LINKEDUA).
He then joined Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC), which he has undertaken several strategic roles in the areas of policy planning, infrastructure rollout, industry development and investment facilitation. Currently, Wan Murdani is heading Digital Enablers Division at MDEC, primarily overseeing the digital talent, digital entrepreneurship, funding ecosystem, digital infrastructure, technology ecosystem and regulatory facilitation, which are the key ecosystems in enabling the growth of digital economy. He leads a dynamic team in engaging, collaborating, and partnering with digital industry players, investors, talent builders, infrastructure operators, regulators, targeted communities, targeted economic sector leads and policy planners to ensure the impact and alignment of programmes and initiatives to the aspirational goals of digital economy.
Gopi Ganesalingam
Head of Digital Exports
Gopi Ganesalingam is a finance professional and an entrepreneur who has served in executive and board positions in the Asia Pacific region for the last 33 years. Gopi has worked in brand names like Matsushita, American Express International, Lucent Technologies, Telstra Australia, Duetsche Telecoms Consulting, and as go-to-market partners for salesforce.com and Google (via the company he founded, LAVA Protocols).
Gopi is now the Senior Vice-President for Digital Exports at Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC) - the agency under the Ministry of Communications and Digital, leading the digital transformation of the economy.
At MDEC, Gopi is at the forefront of championing talented tech entrepreneurs and disruptors whilst growing and connecting the local tech ecosystem to be globally visible and competitive – powering tech companies and entrepreneurs to actualise their business vision and in becoming regional and global champions.
Razif Abd Aziz
Head of Business Services
Razif is passionate about the dynamics between business and the role that technology and Government plays in its development and have written extensively on tech, start-ups, innovation and the challenges of commercialisation as a columnist for local science and daily newspapers.
A senior executive with over 23 years of experience in a variety of roles ranging from business development, corporate, legal & regulatory affairs, communications and sales & marketing in various sectors such as defence, construction, FMCG, telecoms & broadcast, biotechnology and Government.
Razif is passionate about the dynamics between business and the role that technology and Government plays in its development and have written extensively on tech, start-ups, innovation and the challenges of commercialisation as a columnist for local science and daily newspapers.
He has drafted telecoms and broadcast industry subsidiary legislation, consulted for renewable energy and cleantech start-ups helping them navigate the commercial-legal aspects of their business, acted as a technical adviser for the Malaysian Sustainable Energy Development Authority on aspects of the Feed in Tariff framework and led the management of large scale tech development programmes such as Malaysia’s push into Biotech development in 2006-2012.
Osman Ali Hamzah
Head of Stakeholder Relations
With over 25 years of experience in the IT industry in the areas of e-Government transformation, national identity, border control and financial services, Osman has built a distinguished career marked by leadership and expertise.
Currently serving as the Head of the Stakeholder Relations Division at Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC), Osman leads a dynamic team focused on cultivating positive relationships with stakeholders. In this role, he strategically enhances corporate reputation, promotes transparency, and fosters collaborations for mutual benefit. His responsibilities include strategic engagement, government relations, communication and advocacy, community outreach, and conflict resolution.
With a global perspective, prior to his current position, Osman was the Vice President of International Sales at Silverlake Group from 2017 to 2022. In this capacity, he spearheaded global e-Government and Technology Transformation programmes, contributing to the company's strategic growth in emerging markets such as Africa, the Middle East, and Central Asia.
Amiruddin Abdul Shukor
Head of Corporate Services
Amiruddin is a corporate strategist who is skilled and possesses extensive experience in Corporate Management, Finance, Corporate Finance, and Investment.
He is also a Professional Chartered Accountant with over two decades worth of experience and expertise in the corporate and innovation ecosystems, and a certified coach/mentor for professional.
Prior to joining MDEC, he has held Directorships and Senior Management positions in various industries in both the public and private sectors as well as Government agencies. He was formerly the Acting CEO of Malaysian Global Innovation & Creativity Centre Berhad (MaGIC).
His familiarity across the innovation and creativity aspect of entrepreneurship and its capacity and ecosystem development activities involving startups, venture capitals/business angels and capacity builders has led him to founding ASFO Global Technologies Sdn Bhd, a commercialisation advisory that aims to help startups and SMEs to grow in a sustainable ecosystem.
