KUALA LUMPUR: The Communications and Multimedia Ministry is working with several stakeholders to develop a national data and Artificial Intelligence (AI) policy, says its minister Gobind Singh Deo.
He said the policy was crucial for Industrial Revolution 4.0.
“If we look at how technology is developing, we can see the importance of AI and its application across the board.
“Currently, we are discussing how it can be used to advance technology in Malaysia, as well as to improve and benefit other sectors, ” he said at the launch of Next Big Tech Asia 2019 here yesterday. The new policy is not to be confused with the National AI Framework being developed by the Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC).
