QUALIFYING CRITERIA FOR MSC MALAYSIA CYBERCITIES/CYBERCENTRES & DIGITAL HUB STATUS

As a general guide, here follows the Qualifying Criteria for MSC Malaysia Cybercities and Cybercentres status:

  1. Driven by State Governments, and MSC Malaysia Cybercity / Cybercentre stakeholders
  2. Broadband and infrastructure readiness
  3. Customer-focused management with KPIs
  4. Competitive environment to attract investments, nurture start-ups / SMEs and house knowledge workers
  5. Talent pool availability
  6. Proximity to universities and research centres
  7. Adoption of relevant e-applications to enhance service delivery
  8. State ICT Blueprint or value propositions for MSC Malaysia Status entities and the local economy


MALAYSIA DIGITAL HUB CRITERIA

Malaysia Digital Hub entails different set of criteria tailored for the startups and internet economy companies. In general, the following are the Criteria for the Malaysia Digital Hub status:

  1. Pervasive high speed broadband and fibre optics connectivity
  2. Environment for startups
  3. Availability of key anchor of internet economy
  4. Talent development programme
  5. Funding opportunity and facilitation
  6. Lifestyle and amenities
