KUALA TERENGGANU, 26 August 2024 – The Malaysian Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC), the lead agency in digital economy development, today officiated its satellite office in Kuala Terengganu, located at the TD1303 building, Jalan Sultan Zainal Abidin, Kampung Ladang Tok Pelam, 20000 Kuala Terengganu.
The ceremony was graced by the MDEC Chairman, YB Tuan Syed Ibrahim Syed Noh, together with YB Haji Mohd Nurkhuzaini bin Ab Rahman, Chairman of the State Digital Economy, New Income, Trade, Industry and Green Technology Committee, who also chairs TD1303. Also present was the TD1303 General Manager, YBrs. Tuan Ezree Esmadee.
The opening of this satellite office marks MDEC's commitment to strengthening its presence on the East Coast and ensuring that all Malaysians can enjoy the benefits of the digital economy. Furthermore, with this office in place, MDEC is now more strategically positioned to support and drive digital economic growth on the East Coast.
MDEC's presence in Kuala Terengganu brings the agency closer to the local community, enabling MDEC to understand better and address the challenges the local community faces. The opening of this satellite office is a significant achievement for MDEC. It reflects the joint efforts of the Terengganu State Government to build a brighter and more inclusive digital future for Malaysia.
