THE STRATEGIC THRUSTS
In line with our objective to prepare Malaysia for the digital revolution, we have identified three key strategic thrusts that will form the basis of the national digital strategy.
The citizens of Malaysia are the nation’s greatest assets. By providing them with the right knowledge, they will be able to thrive in the digital economy, and drive the nation to new heights. A key part of our strategy is to develop our local tech talent.
Our plan for Tech Talent Development centres on two key objectives: to create an inclusive and sustainable talent development ecosystem and to intensify effort on tech talent development. To that end, we’ve planned four key focus areas for our talent development strategy.
Our Key Focus Areas:
- Build a talent pipeline that grows future talent
- Provide tertiary talent with industry-ready skills upon graduation
- Provide the existing workforce with upskilling and reskilling opportunities
- Attract foreign talent to further enhance the nation’s digital economy
