DIGITAL CONTENT CREATORS CHALLENGE (DC3)
The Digital Content Creators Challenge (DC3) formerly known as IntellectualProperty Creators Challenge (IPCC).
DC3 Objectives
To create more quality content that can be developed, showcased or marketed regionally and globally
To encourage and nurture new talents in turning their ideas into reality
To attract creative content developers to come out with greater ideas and stories
To provide platform for local and regional broadcasters to scout for good contents for their channels




What is DC3?
Is a platform for local talents to hone their creativity and accelerate the development of the digital creative content.
It is a competition-based program designed to assist content creators to develop and produce world standard digital content as well as increasing the creation of Intellectual Property.
The winners selected from this competition will receive a prize money to develop their proposed digital creative content with the support of industry experts through a mentorship programme.
Aimed to be one of the catalysts for local talents to penetrate local and global market.

Project Categories
Digital Comic
Up to 6 months project duration
Winners will be awarderd up to RM25,000 to develop a completed Digital Comic/Comic Anthology (min of 50 colored pages or min of 128 colored digital comic strips/webcomics).


Animation
Up to 8 months project duration
Winners will be awarded up to RM100,000 to develop a completed Animated Short Film, Pilot Episode or Sizzle Trailer.
Digital Games
Up to 10 months project duration
Winners will be awarded up to RM100,000 to develop a completed commercial-ready commercial-ready Digital Games.

DC3 Process Flow

Call For Subsimission
All applications must be submitted online through MDEC website at https://titan.mdec.my/DC3 no later than the respective date

Pre Screening
Upon closing of the submission, a due diligence will be conducted on the applications received.

Pitching Session
Eligible applications will be invited for a pitching session to present their project ideas to the DC3 panel of judges. All successful and unsuccessful applications will be notified on the official result through email after the pitching session.

Mentoring Session
The winners are given six (6) to eight (10) months depending on the category to complete their selected project. Within that duration, the winner are to undergo a compulsory mentorship program with selected mentors. The winner(s) and mentors will meet up on monthly basis as per the schedule provided by MDEC.

Disbursement
The claim process will be based on the progress milestone claims, which is based on completed submission and achievements of the verified deliverables by mentors. The winners will be notified once the claim have been approved.

The competition will be from 10th May 2022 until 15th June 2022.
MDEC will be promoting DC3 on MDEC’s corporate website and social media platforms with links to an online application form.

- Other project/activity identified and recommended by DC3 mentors (if any). And/or
- The Prize money can also be utilized to undertake the Marketing and promotional of digital creative content (Digital Comic/Animation/Digital Games)
- The organizer will inform the participants via email about the date and time according to the category.
- Each participant will be given 10 minutes to pitch and 10 minutes Q&A to present their project.
- The projects will be evaluated by the appointed panel members consists of industry experts, broadcasters or publishers.

The official results will be notified by the organizer via email upon completion of the
presentation session for all categories.
